It all began with fishing tackles

Preeco Trading’s journey began back in 2009 when two students wanted to make some extra money selling fishing tackles online. Using multiple online auction sites and other forums as sales channels, the tackles sold well, so soon new products were put up for sale. As sales grew it was necessary to form a limited company and so in 2012 Preeco Trading Oy was founded. The business plan had solidified and the company’s first ecommerce site, preeco.fi, was launched at the same time. Since those early days the ongoing goal at Preeco Trading Oy has been to create a user friendly ecommerce platform, with a product assortment that provides a quality option at affordable prices for well-known brands in every product category. The range of products has grown to cover over 1000 articles and continues to grow daily.

In the beginning the product assortment consisted of small household and pet related items, but new categories such as polyrattan garden furniture and greenhouses were quickly introduced. Today Preeco.fi is well known nationally for its assortment of affordable garden furniture and products.

Baby products such as baby strollers and bicycle trailers also became a major product category and in 2015 the baby product assortment was detached into a separate ecommerce site, vauvakulma.fi, to better serve the customers with a widened range of baby products. Preeco's baby stroller brands Baby-Merc and Kunert have become a household name and a familiar site on the city streets in just a few years since their launch.

Today we work in co-operation with multiple European brands as official retailers in Finland. To keep prices low, logistics have been kept as simple as possible and products are often shipped directly from the manufacturer to the end customer. In addition to established European products, Preeco’s own imports have been introduced and are taking a larger role every year.

We expanded our warehouse in 2017 and it now covers 5000 square meters. Our warehouse and office is located near the port of Helsinki in the southern Finland and company headquarters are found in Lahti.
